Hungary orders Leopard 2 A7+ to replace Sovietera tanks
The Leopard 2A7 is an updated version of the main battle tank Leopard 2A6. This new upgrade to the Leopard 2 tank adds new armour, an energy system, a cooling system for the crew compartment, and a new system for firing weapons. The Leopard 2A7 is fundamentally different from the KMW variant 2A7+, and it is not designed to fight in urban areas.

Rheinmetall AG has won an important order in connection with a significant NATO main battle tank project.
